Mo, the floor guy, was going to start sanding on Monday the 24th. We threw him a curve though because we asked him to add flooring under the buffet. He pulled out some of the old boards to weave in the new ones.

Update: Mon 31 Mar 2003
The sanding is complete. The first coat of finish is on. Mo
had hoped to get the other two coats on over the weekend,
but I had turned off the heat so the first coat didn't dry
by Saturday morning. We got to do some other things around
the house instead.
Now we know that the house needs to be at least 60 to
allow the floor to dry completely. It has been cooler the
past couple of days so it got down to about 50 in the
house. We didn't want the furnace on so it wouldn't blow
dust onto the wet finish.

"Joel's almost patented cardboard baseboards". I pulled the baseboards out in the kitchen. Mo was afraid that the plaster would fall on the floor after he applied more coats of finish. I put up some cardboard ones so he could put more coats on in the kitchen.

Mo should be putting on the third coat of finish today. The floor is looking great. Here are some pictures of him applying the second coat.
