The floor in the kitchen was covered with linoleum. That had to come up. There is nice maple flooring under the linoleum. The rear bedroom attaches to the kitchen. We might as well have that refinished. I pulled the 30 year old carpet out when I moved in. And the front bedroom needed it too. But there was some carpet in the hall between the bedrooms. That got pulled up too. So the project expanded. Now we had to move all of our belongings out of the bedrooms so the floor guy could sand and finish. We moved all of the stuff into the living and dining rooms so we wouldn't have to carry them down stairs. Some little items from the kitchen went to the basement. The oven went onto the front porch.
